Thats not norml...

Yesterday, one of my friends asked me about a proposed bill they had been asked to sign a petition about, namely one about legalizing marijuana in Michigan. i looked into it a little bit, and two things became clear fast, one, the bill was about medical marijuana, not general usage, and two, it was shot down in late November. so the petition that was proposed to him must have been to put it one the 2008 ballot, which is what the Michigan chapter of norml is trying to do, so that they wont have to muck about with convincing the legislature that its a good idea. now, another thing that poped out at me, when i was looking around on normls site, was that there are nine chapters in michigan, which in and of itself, is a not remarkable, or odd. but what did strike me, is that areas like Hillsdale, which are kinda small, have a chapter, but that Detroit, Grand Rapids and Lansing, three of the larger cities in the state, do not. why this is, i can only guess, but it strikes me as not...norml.
